Meet Dominique

Hi everyone, My name is Dominique Watson and I am a aspiring freelance makeup artist based in Memphis, Tennessee. I am owner and co-founder of Glamour Faces makeup artistry which my main goal is to "Enhance women's beauty with Glamour." My favorite makeup quote asserts " Give a woman the right makeup, and she can conquer the world." I hold this to be absolutely true, and in fact, I feel that makeup, specifically "Glamour" transcends a woman's self-confidence. So I guess this is the time for me to tell you all about me huh?! Well, I am 27 years young and I love the art of makeup. I also enjoy couponing and reading sociological and historical based literature. I recently graduated from The University of Memphis with my Master's degree in Sociology. I also wrote my Master's thesis on body image issues that investigated sociocultural factors such as race,media, and culture. In my free time, I coupon for just about everything especially makeup. I love everything that consist of beauty, particularly tresses, makeup, and nails. God poured an excessive amount of fabulousness when he created me! I decided to start blogging specifically about makeup because I recognized the need to discuss issues (i.e. racial disparity, colorism, etc.) prevalent in the makeup community from a sociological perspective though not exclusively. After watching countless youtube videos, reading blogs, and surfing social media sites I realized the inequalities that exist. Thus, I wanted to create and share with the world something unique and not simply a reiteration of ideas. Given my interest in couponing, I will share cost-friendly ways to coupon for makeup. Couponing?! Girl, ain't nobody got time for that, lol. I will offer ways to coupon that will consist of clipping a few coupons out of your weekly newspaper- and that's it!
